Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Lamp handles account, repository, integration, and health or wellness data when you use the Lamp service.

Effective date: May 24, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Lamp, a service operated by Lamp AI, Inc. that lets users connect data sources and save AI-ready context into GitHub repositories they choose.

Lamp is designed around user-directed storage. When you connect an integration, you instruct Lamp to retrieve selected data, normalize it, deduplicate it, and commit accepted records into your selected stream and repository.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to provide Lamp, including:

  • Account information from GitHub OAuth, such as your GitHub user id, login, avatar, email address if available, organization membership, and repository metadata.
  • Repository and stream configuration, such as connected repository names, stream names, folder paths, upload links, filtering rules, summary settings, job status, and ingest metadata.
  • Integration data you choose to connect, including Gmail messages matching your rules and webhook payloads sent to your Lamp endpoints.
  • WHOOP data, if you connect WHOOP, including your WHOOP user id, profile fields returned by WHOOP, selected cycle, sleep, recovery, workout, and body measurement records, OAuth tokens, sync metadata, sync errors, and deduplication keys.
  • Usage, diagnostics, security, and analytics information, including logs, queue events, IP-derived request metadata, browser/device metadata, errors, and website analytics collected through tools such as Google Tag Manager.

WHOOP data may include health, fitness, wellness, biometric, sleep, recovery, activity, and body measurement information. Depending on where you live, this information may be considered sensitive personal information or consumer health data.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Authenticate users and connect GitHub repositories.
  • Create streams, upload endpoints, app integrations, and sync jobs.
  • Retrieve selected integration data, normalize it into readable Markdown-oriented records, deduplicate repeated records, and save it into your selected repository.
  • Run optional stream instructions and summaries when you enable those features.
  • Maintain, debug, secure, rate-limit, and improve Lamp.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. WHOOP-Specific Consent and Use

By connecting WHOOP, you authorize Lamp to access selected WHOOP data through the WHOOP API and to store derived records in the stream and GitHub repository you choose. Lamp uses WHOOP data only to provide the WHOOP integration, sync selected records, deduplicate records, show source status, and support user-enabled Lamp workflows.

Lamp does not sell WHOOP data. Lamp does not use WHOOP data for advertising, credit, insurance, employment, medical diagnosis, or medical treatment decisions. Lamp is not a healthcare provider, and Lamp is not a medical device.

Disconnecting WHOOP removes Lamp's stored WHOOP OAuth tokens and stops future WHOOP syncs. Records already committed to your GitHub repository remain under your control in GitHub unless you remove them from that repository.

5. Where Information Is Stored and Shared

Lamp shares or processes information only as needed to operate the service, at your direction, or as required by law. This may include:

  • GitHub, when Lamp reads repository metadata or commits stream records to repositories you connect.
  • Integration providers such as WHOOP and Google, when Lamp exchanges OAuth codes, refreshes tokens, retrieves selected records, or revokes access.
  • Infrastructure providers used for application hosting, databases, logs, queues, security, and backups.
  • AI providers such as OpenRouter when you enable features that send stream content to an AI model, including filtering or summaries.
  • Analytics providers for website and product analytics, subject to applicable settings and laws.

If you enable AI filtering or summaries for a stream, integration data in that stream may be sent to the configured AI provider to make the filtering or summary decision. You should not enable those features for a stream unless you want that processing.

6. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including HTTPS in transit, encrypted storage for OAuth tokens, access controls, queue isolation, and operational monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for protecting your GitHub account, connected repositories, and any collaborators who can access those repositories.

If we discover a security incident involving WHOOP data, we will take reasonable steps to investigate, mitigate, notify affected users as required by law, and notify WHOOP when required by WHOOP's developer terms.

7. Retention and Deletion

We keep account, source, stream, and job information for as long as needed to provide Lamp, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. OAuth tokens are deleted when you delete the related source or revoke access where supported.

User-directed records committed to your GitHub repository are retained in GitHub according to your repository settings and Git history. Lamp cannot guarantee deletion of copies that exist in your repository, clones, forks, backups, collaborator devices, or other systems outside Lamp's control.

8. Your Choices

You can:

  • Disconnect repositories and integrations inside Lamp.
  • Delete upload links and app sources.
  • Revoke access from GitHub, Google, WHOOP, or another provider.
  • Disable optional AI filtering or summaries for a stream.
  • Request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information by contacting us.

9. Children

Lamp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to Lamp, contact us.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through Lamp, by email if available, or by another appropriate method.
